There was a guest lecture at ISME by Mr.D.A.Biradar, on the 1st Oct.2011.Mr.Biradar is a qualified Finance professional, and is currently working with a Japanese Multinational – MAKINO GROUP in the capacity of Vice President –Finance and HR and Director. The lecture started off with the fundamentals of finance and further he talked about data analysis and financial reporting. He underlined the concepts that would help budding financial analysts to get a clear picture of the professional industry today. There was a detailed overview on the Income Statements and Ratio Analysis focusing on the interpretation of the data. He also shared his experience with the Makino Group, the Japanese Multinational where he is working, and of his whole career span of 32 yrs. Mr. Biradar was successful in maintaining the interest of the students and also in adding value to their knowledge base about Financial Statements and a CFO’s role in a multinational organisation.
