SANKALP – 2016 | Convention
ISME jointly organised with MTC Global and ASIC, the “SANKALP – 2016” – the 6th MTC Global Annual Convention on the 16 – 17 Sept 2016 @ ISME’s Sarjapura Road Campus. The theme for the convention was “Disruptive Innovation in Education” and the 2-day programme was structured with a series of Panel Discussions and invited guest speeches in technical sessions.
The program started with the Inaugural Session which had speeches and presentations on the conference theme by scholarly educationists and experts from industry. The list included Prof. Nitin Garg, Director-ISME, Dr. Swaroop Reddy, Principal & Dean (Academics) – ISME, Prof. Abdul Mannan, Chariman-UGC, Bangladesh, Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman-NASSCOM, Prof. John Wilson, Cofounder – ASIC, Dr. Prabhakar Waghodekar, Chairman-MTC Globla Advisory Board and Prof. Bholanath Dutta, founder & President – MTC Global.
Post inaugural session, Panel Discussion-1 was held with the sub-theme – “UNIVERSITIES AND INSTITUTIONS IN ITS NEW AVATAR”. The resourceful panelists included Dr. Subash Sharma, Renowned Management Guru and Director – Indus Business Academy (who also chaired the session), Dr. D N S Kumar, Professor – Christ University, Dr. Sarita Iyer, Director – ITM Business School, Barrister Shameem Haiderm Patwary, VC – Dhaka International University.
The theme for the 2nd Panel Discussion held at the end of first day was – “SMART LEARNING AND CHANGING MINDSETS OF MULTIPLE STAKEHOLDERS” chaired by Dr. B N Balaji Singh, Dean – FMS, PES University. The other panelists included Dr. Harikrishna Maram, Chairman & CEO – Imperial College, Prof. Gautam Rajkhowa, Director – MBA, Newman University, UK and Dr. Ghosia Khatoon, Professor, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, KSA.
The 2nd day of the program commenced with the guest speech by Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh over Skype on the topic – “INNOVATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION FOR AUTISTIC PERSONNEL”
Following was the third Panel Discussion to deliberate on the theme – “DISRUPTIVE EDUCATION FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND START-UPS”. The panel was chaired by Ms. Aparna Sharma, Independent Director – T S Alloys Ltd. and panelists spoke were Dr. Harish Pant, MD – Hampson Industries, Dr. Indranil Bose, Dean, Business Studies, Western International College, UAE, Ms. Shubhendu Patnaik, Director-Marketing, Gallop Solutions and Prof. Firdose Shroff, Author and Renowned Motivational Speaker.
ISME Literary Club students were volunteered to organise the program and were appreciated for the smooth and professional conduct by the delegates and were also rewarded with certificates from MTC Global Team.
