On 15th December, 2012 ISME organized a National Conference on “Developing Entrepreneurial Managers through Management Education – Curricula to Careers”
This was a great learning experience for all as we were exposed to new ideas, concepts, and professionals from different fields.
The conference commenced with the customary lamp lighting by the dignitaries and a sacred song to invoke God and take the Almighty’s blessings. The seminar was marked by the presence of the chief guest Mr. Debashish Sen Gupta. Then a welcome address was given by the chairman, NVT Group, Mr. K.G. Garg who gave his thoughts on how to deal with the corporate situations and make them favourable through education and how to work on to produce better entrepreneurs. After this Prof. Nitin Garg took over and he focused on mainly four topics viz– The need of entrepreneurs, the traits needed to be an entrepreneur, what is in the organization that can harness the people who have such kinds of traits and how ISME can see to enhance the attributes through the education process.
Dr. Ramesh G.Tagat gave an overview on developing entrepreneurs through management education and the inter-corporate relations The chief guest Mr. Debashish Sen Gupta shared his personal experiences and thoughts on developing entrepreneurial managers. Mr. Chandran Natrajan , Mr. Dinesh Gopalan and Mr. Vivek Garg also shared their views on the topic.
There was presentation of theme papers by the invited faculty, researchers and consultants on the topic. Each presenter was given ten to fifteen minutes to present their paper. Ms. Indu Sharma was given the best paper award and the conference came to an end with a vote of thanks and by presenting mementos to the eminent guests.This was a great learning experience for all as we were exposed to new ideas, concepts, and professionals from different fields. Besides, it gave us a chance to network with conference participants from diverse fields.
