On 29th December 2012, an event was organized by Global Shapers at Reliance Trends, 5th floor, Richmond road. The event was all about CEO shadowing and the speaker was Mr. Ananth Ravi. Seven of ISME students had the priviledge to attend this event. Along with the ISME students, thirty-five students of various other colleges also participated in the event.
Mr. Ananth Ravi told that his purpose for the visit was promotion of the 4G network of Reliance in Karnataka. Mr. Ananth gave a brief description about himself and told about the journey of Reliance. He informed that Reliance was started as a trading firm in 1958 and Dhirubhai Ambani dreamt of starting a big refinery in India. His dream got fulfilled in the year 1999 but the journey continued with perpetual success of the Reliance Group.
Mr. Ananth also told that the Reliance Group has 58 lakh shareholders and also the share value of Rs 10 in the year 1977 will fetch us a benefit of Rs 48 lakh at present.
Mr. Ananth suggested to concentrate on big projects, big mass, high value and low cost input. He also told that the Reliance Group is successful because of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities it undertakes and also the spirit of the group which has leaded them to the path of success.
The session was really very informative and fruitful.
